This $14.9 million multiphase project included a renovation and addition to the historic 6,500 SF Highland Fire Station and a renovation to the historic 17,000 SF Central Fire Station. The scope of the Highland Fire Station included demolishing and lowering the main floor slab to allow modern apparatus to fit within the station’s garage bays, as well as major building system and fire protection upgrades. The Highland Fire Station achieved a LEED-Silver rating, the first such rating for any new or renovated town-owned building project. The Central Fire Station scope included structural changes, new interior finishes, upgrades to major buildings systems, and updates to fire protection systems. The Central Fire Station completed is LEED Gold Certified.
