PMA was hired to assist Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Engineering Group with all of its schedule activities, including tracking the procurement of major materials for SCE projects. PMA supported the management of approximately 650 projects each year with an annual budget estimate ranging from $620 million to $730 million.

PMA Role
PMA services on this contract included supporting the generation and dissemination of reporting models, histograms, and other information from Primavera P6 to allow stakeholders to better report on project status. PMA identified actual and estimated major equipment and/or long-lead items from daily SCE major equipment list updates, incorporated them into project schedules, and provided current status during weekly progress meetings chaired by SCE’s Major Projects Organization. PMA also documented and communicated project schedule date changes in a timely manner to the responsible engineers, engineering leads, and other project stakeholders.
