The $163 million Sharon High School project is a new, 240,204-SF high school for 1,200 students. The facility will consist of 42 academic classrooms, four teacher planning spaces, six small group seminar rooms, 12 science classrooms/labs, 12 prep spaces, 18 special education spaces, 12 art/music spaces, 11 tech/engineering spaces, and a television studio used for town-wide needs. PMA worked with the Massachusetts School Board Authority to negotiate the studio as a reimbursable project feature. Roofing, windows, insulation, and other building elements are designed to exceed the current code and work toward NetZero. The project also has conduits on the roof and parking lot lights that can be used for future PV arrays.
