As part of Port of Seattle’s $4.4 billion capital improvement program to enhance the design of baggage handling systems in the Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA), this contract upgrades the existing baggage handling system, designs new systems, and provides additional renewal and replacement projects. SEA is seeing unprecedented airline and passenger growth that is driving many near-term baggage projects. Currently, design teams are designing a new baggage claim system to replace existing bag claim areas #15 & #16, which service Alaska Airlines and American Airlines.
PMA schedules the design elements and deliverables for the engineering and design teams, as needed. Currently, our staff works with the team to provide the 30% design. The project will be ongoing through 90% design completion, expected in 2024.Overview
