The $2.4-billion redevelopment program will replace the existing terminal building that opened to the public in 1973. It will serve 13.6 million annual passengers and provide an open, modern terminal with easy access to improve passenger experience and the flexibility to grow and change with the increasing demands and evolving requirements for air travel. The program’s main elements include the new 1,000,000-square-foot, 33-gate Terminal A building, parking garage and associated toll plazas, aeronautical taxi lane network and apron, and redesigned roadway and bridges, utilities, and site work to serve the new terminal.
