PMA was the project manager for Alticor Corporation for the development of a new JW Marriott Hotel. This $100+ million hotel project consisted of 330 rooms in a 20-story building. Also included were a 13,500-SF ballroom and an 800-space parking structure.

PMA Role
As program manager, PMA provided planning, time/schedule management, cost management, procurement, design oversight, construction, risk management, administration, and owner’s occupancy services. PMA procured the contractor and designer for the project, and assisted Alticor in procuring site plan approval from the city of Grand Rapids. PMA also assisted Alticor in receiving tax increment financing from the city. PMA provided cost analysis and oversight to ensure that the project stayed within the approved funding.
