This project involves a 1.1 million-SF healthcare campus at Fort Bliss that includes construction of a seven-story replacement hospital and five supporting buildings, including in-patient and out-patient clinics, an administrative building, a clinical investigation building, and a central utility plant. The new 630,000-SF hospital replaces the existing William Beaumont Army Medical Center and will be constructed with a steel frame structure, side plate connection system, and a concrete and metal deck composite floor system designed to withstand the effects of seismic activity.
