This $126 million CMAA and ENR award-winning project is part of the Dudley Square vision and involved incorporating three historic facades into a new high-rise office/retail complex to serve as the new Boston Public School headquarters on the site of the historic Ferdinand’s Furniture Building. The complete facility is LEED-Gold Certified and includes a 214,000-SF eight-story high rise, a small underground parking facility, and five green roofs. Design includes a flexible open-floor space with minimal offices, high-tech meeting rooms, significant day lighting, and a high-performance building management system.

PMA Role
PMA provided comprehensive owner’s project management services to the City of Boston on the city’s first construction management at-risk (CMAR) project. PMA CMAR management knowledge included processes, procedures, invoicing, and project accounting, as well as oversight of the designer and construction manager. PMA was also retained by the city to oversee construction of five retail tenant spaces on the building’s ground level.
