The BP Cherry Point clean diesel project included converting the balance of BP’s refinery diesel production volume to ultra-low-sulfur diesel to comply with United States Environmental Protection Agency diesel sulfur specification requirements. The scope also included installing additional hydrotreating and hydrogen generation capacity at the refinery along with various infrastructure improvements to support the project.

PMA Role
During the life of the project, PMA provided schedule assurance, risk analysis, and supplemental scheduling services to the BP project management team. PMA’s forecast for completion was extremely accurate. 34 months before the actual completion, PMA forecasted a completion date within one week of actual project completion.
