Deborah brings to PMA 31+ years of project and construction management experience with a nationwide focus on vertical construction projects.
Beginning her career on a large power plant construction site as document control clerk and sole female staff member of a major general contractor, Deborah advanced through the ranks while learning from the best firms in the industry, including Bechtel Corporation, Jacobs Inc., and Hill International.
Deborah recalls this time in in her career: “I was a sponge learning as much as possible. I learned to read drawings and memorize specifications. I studied submittals for equipment and materials and learned standards and codes. I spent my nights reading Engineering-News Record and anything I could get my hands on to learn about the construction industry.”
Deborah’s love of the construction industry and dedication to knowledge drove her to increasingly challenging projects, ranging from heavy industrial and semi-conductor processing to cancer research facilities and major convention centers, and took her to three countries and 17 states, including a camp on the Alaska North Slope.
Deborah explains her focus: “The definition of process is a series of actions or steps taken to achieve a particular end or result. I love organization and process. As a PM/CM, I thrive on defining and implementing the necessary project or program process phases to realize success for my client, my team, and my company.”
Prior to joining PMA, Deborah served as Associate Vice President and Program Director Capital Projects/Facilities for Arcadis, where she led the activities of the construction management, design, and administrative teams in executing more than 40 projects for Massachusetts Convention Center Authority in Boston, MA.
