Ken Macsay

What are you passionate about and how do you pursue that passion at PMA?

I am passionate about keeping up with new technologies and implementing them at PMA.

What current project(s) are you working on?

Currently, I am concentrating on daily IT support requests from our end users; supporting PMA system infrastructure; NetPoint support/implementation; and completing our Office 365 document migration from in-house file shares to SharePoint in the Cloud.

What is your career highlight so far? (at PMA?)

So far, it’s taking the leap to the cloud with our Office 365 implementation and the addition of new tools like Teams, SharePoint, and Power BI.

Who/what inspires you to push yourself? (Personal heroes, family members, ideas)

I am inspired by my acceptance of “the isness of Now” and not trying to fight or change it, which creates mental space for great things to happen.

What are the most positive aspects of working at PMA? Or Share your impressions of PMA’s culture.

PMA culture is a very positive and open environment to work independently, yet have access to so many talented and professional PMAers to collaborate and knowledge share.

What is something innovative happening in your industry that makes you excited about the future?

Cloud computing, virtualization, and the metaverse are trending now.

What university or college did you graduate from?

I earned my degree from Michigan State University.

What is your favorite local establishment/feature (restaurant, museum, stadium, etc.)?

My favorite establishment depends on the city: in Chicago, it’s Ema (thanks to Dax’s recommendation), Blue Bottle Coffee, and Snickers (dive bar); in Grand Haven, MI, it’s Fricano’s Pizza; and in Detroit, it’s Hungarian Rhapsody.
