Peoples Gas—natural gas utility company for the Chicagoland area.
What are some of your career highlights?
Working alongside some of our PMA colleagues, I was able to deliver a suite of interactive reports to our client using Microsoft Power BI. These reports were made available to more than 200 employees within their organization and have grown to become essential tools in helping plan and execute work within their program. Our efforts received a great deal of recognition by the client, and the style of reporting that we introduced has since become the standard for the organization.
What is something new/innovative happening in your industry?
There is an increasing demand by companies across all industries to explore their available data in new, creative ways. Fortunately, powerful data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau have made it easier than ever to accomplish this. I have seen first-hand the benefits that this software can provide, and hope to continue helping PMA develop this expertise as a core service that we’re able to offer to our clients.
What is your favorite local establishment/feature (museum, restaurant, stadium, etc.)?
A white sand beach in my backyard (see photo)! Following our wedding, my wife Alysha and I decided to move from our home in Chicago in an attempt to escape the winter weather. We are traveling across the southern United States on an extended 6-month “honeymoon” and are currently loving life at our first stop—Pensacola, Florida.
