Located in the iconic 333 W. Wacker building in the Loop, the PMA Chicago office opened in 1995. The office promotes a highly collaborative workplace and includes comfortable huddle areas, private meeting rooms with the latest technology, and an eat-in kitchen complete with a ping-pong table for brainstorming or brain break time.

PMA is passionate about innovation and the Chicago staff channel that intellect into real and practical ways to help clients. Working on hundreds of projects for owners (both public and private), PMA Chicago has developed an impressive depth of knowledge of its surrounding market. The office is also the home of PMA Technologies, a subsidiary of PMA Consultants. PMA Chicago team members actively develop NetPoint®, a planning and scheduling application that encourages collaboration; and NetRisk™, a schedule risk analysis software.

As Chief Executive Officer, Dax brings extensive experience in company culture and leadership.  Prior to assuming the CEO role, Dax made enduring contributions within PMA, creating a leadership development program and implementing company-wide initiatives to grow and share knowledge for the mutual benefit of clients, employees, and the organization. He designed and deployed enterprise strategies that included creating a digital knowledge base, providing internal training and continuing education resources, and forming an organizational framework for knowledge leadership. Dax also led PMA in an initiative to codify our core values, emphasizing mastery of knowledge, embracing new challenges, and transforming project management to improve project outcomes,

Combining people skills with technical prowess, Dax excels in providing project management and controls knowledge for clients in the aviation, manufacturing, corporate, and power industries. His expertise includes schedule development and maintenance, collaborative planning, schedule review, delay analysis, and risk analysis. He is highly skilled in providing program/project assessments, process development and implementation, and he is an expert in the Graphical Path Method® and NetPoint®.  Throughout his tenure at PMA, Dax has been entrusted with a multifaceted range of responsibilities that span key aspects of project development and management.

•Jerry Klanac

Jerry Klanac

Managing Director, Ann Arbor

Jerry oversees the PMA Houston office, as well as the company’s global oil and gas practice. He has extensive project management experience for US and international construction projects in the oil and gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, infrastructure, and water/wastewater sectors. He has consulted on projects with a cumulative value of more than $38 billion. Jerry has significant expertise in providing project cost and schedule controls, developing and analyzing CPM schedules, developing and reviewing conceptual and definitive cost estimates and tools, providing probabilistic analyses, assessing construction labor productivity, evaluating change orders and claims, developing project management processes, and preparing contract strategies. Jerry is also an accomplished trainer. He is currently a part-time faculty member at the University of Dayton. He has lectured at the Project Management Institute, the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo Innovation Center, and has provided training for numerous private clients’ staff.

Andrew Chattaway

Managing Director, Chicago

Andrew provides a unique combination of program management and data visualization skills to fulfill diverse and demanding project controls requirements. Andrew focuses on developing and analyzing detailed project schedules, resource tracking, cost modeling analysis, schedule and cost risk management process and methodology, value planning, 3D/4D BIM modeling/VDC, logistics and constructability analysis, and progress reporting. Andrew is an integral member of project teams and a client adviser on major civil, transportation infrastructure, nuclear power/defense, utility, and wastewater management projects.

Elie Blumen

Chief Financial Analyst, Chicago

Elie serves as PMA’s chief financial analyst and is a proactive executive with significant private industry experience. He provides overall strategic financial and systems support as a senior management team member, and he oversees PMA financial planning and analysis, contract administration, budgeting, and business expansion planning.
