Serving as Champions of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

We are committed to an ever-evolving culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion. We appreciate and respect diverse backgrounds as they provide new perspectives that broaden our capabilities. As a Hispanic-owned Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), we understand the importance of regularly looking for opportunities to partner with local, diverse, and women-owned firms.

We provide ongoing assistance and sponsorship to MELL foreign national employees. We offer employment-based green card and H-1B New Cap lottery sponsorships that provide long-term work authorization and visa opportunities. Our foreign worker program has created a significantly more diverse workforce that exposes our employees to new cultures and ideas. Since 2019, MELL has sponsored more than 50 foreign national employees from 18 countries.

Cristo Rey

As a corporate partner of the Cristo Rey Network, we sponsor high school students with limited resources enrolled in the Cristo Rey Network’s Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP). We dedicate time, expertise, and financial support to this nonprofit, providing a vehicle by which students can earn high school degrees while preparing for college and a successful career path. Professionally, we mentor these young minds in select MELL office environments, creating opportunities to shadow engineers, project managers, marketing, and finance to get real-world, hands-on education in project management consulting.

Strengthening our Communities

Our commitment to strengthening the communities where we work and live is driven by our desire to impact positive change. We provide education and resources to underserved populations and empower our employees to make a meaningful difference. Check out our national efforts to promote awareness and foster opportunities locally to improve life in our neighborhoods. In addition to volunteering, we encourage and support cultural and economic development through educational programs, work internships, and partnerships with nonprofit organizations. It is only with the combined efforts of our entire organization that we can do the maximum good.

Protecting the Environment

We operate our business in a sustainable manner that promotes the health and safety of our employees and our communities. We shoulder the responsibility of environmental stewardship by following best practices in recycling, conserving energy and natural resources, and using environmentally responsible technologies and construction practices. When you work with us you will see we facilitate broad collaboration among design and construction specialists to implement green technologies while helping owners meet sustainability goals that create healthy environments for end users.

MELL Partners with IRN: The Reuse Network to Donate Surplus School Furniture

A total of 1,103 pieces of Danvers school furniture weighing 42,379 pounds was shipped to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. These items included hundreds of chairs, desks, and tables, as well as many cabinets, bookcases, file cabinets, stools, carts, and other school furnishings.
